Assist in preserving and promoting the histories of communities in Christian and Shelby Counties and educating the public about their cultural, social, and historical significance.
Our way of life, culture and society are based on our HISTORY. Consequently, it is an important component of education. The Foundation is committed to providing support for both public and non-profit 501(c)(3) historical organizations in Christian and Shelby Counties such as the Assumption Historical Society.
Established in 2003, the Assumption Historical Society works to preserve artifacts and help educate the community, and beyond, about Assumption’s unique history. Note that every community has just that – its’ own “unique” history!

The Assumption History Museum is open during community events and by appointment.
